MEDIATION

Mediation is a growing trend for solving family problems. Mediation is “a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), a way of resolving disputes between two or more parties with concrete effects. Typically, a third party, the mediator, assists the parties to negotiate a settlement”. Family litigation can be time consuming and financially crippling, and sometimes it may exacerbate clients’ difficulties. Instead of asking a judge to make a decision for you, parties can decide their future with the guidance of a professional and fair mediator. Mediation usually involves the parties and their lawyers but some people choose to engage the help of a mediator without legal counsel.
